Knicks Halt Contract Extension Talks for Key Players
The New York Knicks have declared that they will cease discussions regarding contract extensions for several players, including Karl-Anthony Towns, Josh Hart, Miles McBride, and Tyler Kolek.
The organization stated that their primary focus is on preparing for the upcoming season and delivering a strong performance for their fans. Consequently, they will postpone any contract negotiations until later in the season.
The Knicks are set to begin their regular season at home against the Philadelphia 76ers, where they will also raise their championship banner from the previous season. Towns, who was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves, is currently eligible for a $277 million extension, with the Knicks reportedly having offered him $200 million.
