Knicks Secure Comeback Win as Mikal Bridges Sits Out Second Half
In a recent game, the New York Knicks achieved a comeback victory over the Chicago Bulls with a score of 133-127. Coach Mike Brown made the decision to bench Mikal Bridges for all but three minutes of the second half, opting instead for reserves Tyler Kolek, Jordan Clarkson, and Landry Shamet.
Bridges struggled during the game, scoring only three points in 13 minutes, marking his shortest appearance as a Knick outside of brief substitutions to maintain his consecutive games played streak. Brown noted that the effective backcourt combination of Kolek and Jalen Brunson played a significant role in the decision to keep Bridges on the bench.
Kolek, Clarkson, and Shamet collectively contributed 41 points and 15 assists. The game also featured injury scares for Karl-Anthony Towns and Shamet, both of whom returned quickly after initial concerns.
