Kofi Discusses WWE Departure and AEW Tag Team Aspirations

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, now known as Kofi and Austin Creed, made headlines with their departure from WWE following WrestleMania 42. Their exit was influenced by WWE's request for significant pay cuts, reportedly over 50 percent, which they chose not to accept.

In a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Kofi expressed dissatisfaction with the terms offered by WWE, stating they did not reflect their value as performers. He emphasized their desire to entertain fans and contribute to the wrestling community, highlighting their skills and versatility.

Kofi also noted that tag team wrestling was not prioritized in WWE, prompting their interest in AEW, where they observed successful teams like the Young Bucks and FTR.
