Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods Reveal WWE Pay Cut Offer Exceeded 50%
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, now known as The New Level in AEW, revealed that their WWE pay cut offer exceeded 50%, contrary to earlier reports. They made this disclosure during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show after their release from WWE in May.
Kingston explained that while compensation was a significant factor in their decision to leave, the primary reason was their desire to pursue their wrestling careers more freely. Woods recounted the unexpected nature of the call regarding the pay cut, leading them to conclude they needed to exit WWE.
Both wrestlers expressed excitement about their new roles in AEW, where they recently won the AEW Trios titles. They also addressed their ongoing friendship with Big E, who is on a different career path following a serious injury.
