Kofi Kingston Shares How A$AP Ferg Theme Was Secured for AEW Debut
Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed debuted as The New Level at AEW All In 2026, arriving to A$AP Ferg's track 'New Level.' The duo shared the challenges they faced in securing the song just hours before their performance.
The idea to use the song originated from Creed during contract negotiations with AEW. AEW President Tony Khan expressed confidence that they could obtain the rights to the track. However, the process proved complicated as AEW initially struggled to contact Sony for the song's rights.
In a race against time, Kofi and Creed reached out to former WWE colleague Big E for assistance. Although Big E did not know A$AP Ferg personally, he connected them with Kazeem Famuyide and Peter Rosenberg. Rosenberg facilitated communication with Ferg's manager, leading to the song being cleared less than 24 hours before their debut, allowing The New Level to align their entrance music with their new identity.
