Kremlin Claims Ousted Ukrainian Minister's Comments Reflect Internal Strife

The Kremlin commented on remarks made by former Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, suggesting they reveal deepening political turmoil within Kyiv. Fedorov indicated that Ukraine is facing challenges in the war against Russia and highlighted issues of corruption and military strategy.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov characterized Fedorov's statements as evidence of escalating infighting among Ukraine's political elite, claiming that European supporters of Ukraine are overlooking this internal conflict. He asserted that the Kyiv regime is deteriorating from within.

In response, Ukraine's presidential office noted that Fedorov had previously expressed confidence in the war effort while serving as defence minister, implying that his current criticisms stem from his change in position rather than the situation on the ground.
