Krystian Bielik Claims Death Threats Following Fan Incident
Cardiff City defender Krystian Bielik has alleged that his family received death threats following a confrontation with a Portsmouth fan during a Championship match at Fratton Park last month.
Bielik faced a two-game suspension and a £10,000 fine after admitting to misconduct for grabbing the fan's shoulder while retrieving the ball. The incident occurred during the second half of Cardiff's 2-1 loss.
A Hampshire Police investigation determined that no further action was necessary, resulting in Bielik receiving a Community Resolution Order. Although Bielik expressed regret and sent an apology to the fan, the independent regulatory commission noted that his claims of death threats were regrettable but did not influence the imposed sanctions.
