KTM Revitalizes MotoGP Engines Ahead of Aragon Grand Prix

KTM has completed the revitalization of seven MotoGP engines that faced reliability issues during the 2026 season. This operation took place at the company's engine production center in Munderfing, Austria, and involved replacing critical components to restore the engines to optimal performance.

The process began last Monday, with KTM's engineers opening the engines, replacing parts believed to be the source of failures, and resealing them for reintroduction into the race lineup. This comes after receiving approval from other manufacturers in the championship to proceed with the repairs.

While specific details about the replaced parts remain unconfirmed, it is suspected that the pneumatic valves may have contributed to the problems. KTM has been closely monitoring the performance of its engines, particularly those used by rider Pedro Acosta, who has experienced multiple issues this season. The revitalized engines will be utilized starting with the Aragon Grand Prix.
