Kuldeep Yadav Misses Colombo Test Due to Viral Illness

Kuldeep Yadav was not included in India's squad for the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo due to a viral illness. India's batting coach, Sitanshu Kotak, confirmed that Kuldeep had been experiencing discomfort since leaving Galle after the first match.

As a result of Kuldeep's unavailability, India opted to give a debut to Saransh Jain, emphasizing the need for an off-spinner against a team with multiple left-handed batsmen. Kotak noted that Kuldeep had shown some improvement but was still not fit enough to play.
