Kuldeep Yadav's Bowling Absence Explained by India Coach
Kuldeep Yadav did not bowl in the second innings of India's warm-up match against Sri Lanka Cricket XI in Colombo, as explained by India's spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule. The decision was made to manage Kuldeep's workload before the upcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka.
During the three-day practice match, Kuldeep bowled 18 overs and an additional two to three overs before the game. The team management opted to allow him to rest and assess how his body was responding after this significant bowling effort.
This choice was not related to any injury concerns. The practice match provided valuable experience for Kuldeep and allowed other spinners, including Ravindra Jadeja and Manav Suthar, to bowl around 14-15 overs each. India won the warm-up game by six wickets and will begin the Test series on August 15.
