Kyle Bradish Placed on 15-Day Injured List by Orioles

The Baltimore Orioles have announced that pitcher Kyle Bradish has been placed on the 15-day injured list due to lower abdominal discomfort, effectively ending his regular season. This decision comes as the team continues its pursuit of a wild card spot in the playoffs.

Bradish's last appearance was marked by a challenging performance, where he allowed five runs in three innings during a loss to the Blue Jays. The Orioles currently hold a record of 72-77 and are three games behind the Guardians for the final American League wild card position.

In response to Bradish's injury, the Orioles have called up Yaramil Hiraldo from Triple-A Norfolk. Despite a season characterized by inconsistency, Bradish had shown resilience by pitching 155 innings this year, a significant increase following his recovery from Tommy John surgery in 2024. The team had previously expressed confidence in his durability, signing him to a five-year, $90 million contract extension in July.
