Kyle Kirkwood Achieves Career-Best Finish in IndyCar Championship

Kyle Kirkwood wrapped up his 2026 IndyCar Series season with a strong performance, finishing second in the finale at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, just behind Scott McLaughlin of Team Penske.

This result secured Kirkwood a career-best second place in the overall championship standings, with a total of 545 points, trailing champion Alex Palou by 86 points. Throughout the season, Kirkwood, driving the #27 Andretti Global Honda, achieved two wins, six podiums, and consistently placed in the top ten.

Kirkwood noted that his strategy during the race was influenced by the need to secure points for the championship. He expressed pride in the team's progress, highlighting the momentum gained as they head into the off-season.
