Kyle Larson Aims for Knoxville Nationals Qualification Despite Scheduling Conflict

Kyle Larson is preparing to qualify for the Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway next week, despite a scheduling conflict with the NASCAR Cup Series at Richmond Raceway. If weather permits, he will attempt to secure a spot in the prestigious event.

Driving the No. 57 car for Paul Silva, Larson will participate in the preliminary event on Thursday night. However, if he qualifies, he may not be able to race on Saturday unless rain delays the event. He is also scheduled to compete in the Front Row Challenge at Southern Iowa Speedway, which offers a $21,000 prize.

Winning the preliminary race could earn Larson an additional $12,000, while simply qualifying for the feature would guarantee $15,000, even if he cannot race. The Knoxville Nationals boasts a total purse of over $1.1 million, with $200,000 awarded to the winner. If Larson is unable to race, a crew member could take his place to secure the qualifying prize.
