Kyle Shanahan Addresses Jed York's Arrest and Its Impact on 49ers
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has stated that the recent arrest of team owner Jed York will not impact the team's performance. Shanahan communicated with York following his arrest over the weekend, expressing concern for York's family.
York faced charges related to disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, ultimately pleading no contest to misdemeanors. He received a fine and a short jail sentence. Shanahan noted that York has not been involved with the team during training camp and that the focus remains solely on football.
Linebacker Fred Warner supported Shanahan's comments, asserting that the team is concentrated on their on-field activities. Shanahan also acknowledged the personal nature of the situation, given his relationship with York and his family, while maintaining that the team’s operations will continue unaffected.
