Kyle Shanahan Receives Contract Extension with 49ers

Shanahan, now in his 10th season with the team, recently achieved his 150th regular-season game as head coach during a 27-7 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia. He is just two games away from tying Bill Walsh for the most games coached in franchise history, with a record of 83 wins and 67 losses.

In addition to his regular-season record, Shanahan has led the team in 14 playoff games, matching Walsh's total, with a playoff record of 9-5, including two Super Bowl appearances. Despite facing challenges during training camp due to a concussion and injuries from a car accident in July, he has returned to his regular coaching responsibilities.
