Kyle Whittingham Discusses Bryce Underwood's Role as Michigan's Starting Quarterback
Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham has stated that Bryce Underwood will continue as the team's starting quarterback after their close 13-12 win against Western Michigan in the season opener.
Whittingham acknowledged Underwood's performance, which included a crucial Hail Mary touchdown pass, but emphasized that improvement is necessary for the entire team. Underwood completed 12 of 22 passes for 170 yards, along with one touchdown, one interception, and a fumble.
As Michigan prepares for a challenging matchup against No. 10 Oklahoma, Whittingham noted that the depth chart is not fixed for any player, indicating that consistent performance is essential for all team members.
