General Manager Ryan Poles expressed uncertainty about Gordon's future with the team, stating he does not know if Gordon will return to play. He mentioned the importance of Gordon continuing to work hard during his rehabilitation from a calf injury, which kept him out throughout the summer.

Poles highlighted the challenges of recovering from injuries, noting that Gordon needs to overcome discomfort in his rehabilitation process. Gordon, who signed a three-year, $40 million contract extension last year, played only three games last season due to various injuries, raising concerns about whether he will play again for the Bears.
