Kyler Murray's First Start with Vikings Results in Field Goal Drive
Kyler Murray made his first start with the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday during their preseason opener against the New York Giants.
He directed a 10-play, 54-yard drive that concluded with a field goal before leaving the game on the following series. During this drive, Murray completed two of three passes for a total of 10 yards, without any rushing attempts.
The drive was supported by running plays from Aaron Jones, who had three carries for 27 yards, and Jordan Mason, who added three carries for 17 yards. The drive ended with an incomplete pass on third and four from the New York 17, as the ball slipped through Jones's hands. Murray's performance does not provide enough information to assess his potential resurgence with the team, with the regular season opener against the Packers approaching in 29 days.
