Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe believes this could be his year to win the Ballon d'Or, having scored four goals in the current season.

Kylian Mbappe, the forward for Real Madrid, expressed optimism about his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or this year, marking a potential first for him. The 27-year-old has already netted four goals in four matches this season.

Last season, he scored 42 goals in 44 games, although Real Madrid did not secure any trophies. Mbappe also achieved a record 22 goals in World Cup matches, earning the Golden Boot despite France finishing fourth.

While he acknowledges the discussions surrounding his candidacy for the award, he emphasized that the decision ultimately lies with the voters. Mbappe has previously finished third in the Ballon d'Or rankings and is currently competing against other top players, including Harry Kane and Lamine Yamal, for this year's honor.
