Kyren Wilson Advances to Shanghai Masters Final Against Judd Trump
Kyren Wilson, the defending champion, triumphed over Zhao Xintong with a score of 10-8 in a competitive semi-final at the Shanghai Masters, setting up a final match against world number one Judd Trump.
Wilson, aged 34, initially led after the first session and attempted a 147 break, finishing at 113. The match reached a tense moment at 8-8, but Wilson rallied to win the last four frames after trailing 8-6.
In the final, Wilson will compete for a prize of £210,000 against Trump, who secured his place by defeating world champion Wu Yize 10-6 in the other semi-final. Wilson previously defeated Trump in last year's Players Championship final and is aiming for his third Shanghai Masters title.
