Labritz and Green Lead After First Round of Rogers Charity Classic
Rob Labritz and Richard Green are tied for the lead after the first round of the Rogers Charity Classic in Calgary, both scoring 7-under 63. Labritz, who was unaware of his position, made a crucial 12-foot birdie putt on his final hole.
Labritz started on the 10th hole of the 7,086-yard Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club course, achieving four birdies on the back nine and three more on the front, without making any bogeys. This marks Labritz's fifth consecutive appearance at the PGA Tour Champions event in Calgary, where his best finish previously was a tie for 35th place in 2024.
Green, who also had a strong performance, eagled the 18th hole and recorded five birdies in his bogey-free round. Miguel Angel Jimenez is one shot behind at 6 under, while several players, including Michael Allen and Jerry Kelly, are at 5 under. Canadian Mike Weir finished as the top Canadian at 3 under, concluding his round with three birdies.
