Lachlan Olbrich Joins Tokyo Alvark on One-Year Contract
Lachlan Olbrich has officially signed a one-year contract with Tokyo Alvark, transitioning from his previous role with the Bulls, where he was on a two-way contract last season.
The Australian center/forward is expected to be among the highest-paid overseas players in the league, although specific financial details of the contract have not been disclosed. He will be playing under head coach Ryan Richman, noted for his coaching skills and potential in the NBA.
Olbrich, who was drafted 55th overall in 2025, played 37 games in the NBA last season, averaging 2.4 points and 3.0 rebounds. He also had a successful stint in the G League, where he averaged 19.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 5.3 assists. After becoming a free agent, he participated in the Summer League with the Warriors but chose the guaranteed contract in Japan, aiming to eventually return to the NBA.
