Lancashire Appoints Richard Kenyon as New Chief Executive

Richard Kenyon has been appointed as the new chief executive of Lancashire after resigning from Nottinghamshire, where he served for less than a year.

Lancashire Cricket Club has named Richard Kenyon as its new chief executive following his resignation from the same position at Nottinghamshire. Kenyon's appointment comes as he replaces Daniel Gidney, who will retire at the end of the year after 14 years in the role.

Kenyon, who became CEO at Nottinghamshire in October, is leaving after just 10 months to be closer to his family in Southport. He has a decade of experience at Everton FC, where he held various roles, including chief commercial and communications officer.

Kenyon expressed his enthusiasm for leading Lancashire, a club he has supported since the 1980s. Lancashire chair Dame Sarah Storey noted that Kenyon stood out as the best candidate during their extensive search for a new leader. Meanwhile, Nottinghamshire's commercial director, Michael Temple, will serve as interim chief executive following Kenyon's departure.
