Lando Norris Claims Pole Position at Spanish GP
Lando Norris achieved pole position at the first-ever Formula 1 race on the Madring circuit, narrowly beating Kimi Antonelli by just 0.011 seconds. The reigning world champion expressed surprise at his performance, describing it as one of the best laps of his career.
During the qualifying session, Antonelli initially set a fast pace, aiming for his seventh pole of the season. However, Norris, driving for McLaren, managed to clock a lap time of 1m31.824s, securing his third pole in four races this season.
The Madring circuit, known for its high-speed corners and close walls, posed a challenge for drivers. Norris noted the adrenaline during his final lap and emphasized the importance of staying relaxed to navigate the track effectively.
