Lando Norris Expresses Concerns After Italian GP Practice Sessions

Lando Norris expressed confusion after the practice sessions for the Italian Grand Prix, where McLaren struggled with performance at Monza's circuit.

In the second practice, Norris finished fourth, trailing Mercedes' George Russell by 0.384 seconds. He noted that McLaren was underperforming in corners where they expected to excel, while showing unexpected strength in other areas. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, placed sixth, indicating that both drivers were losing time primarily on the straights.

Norris acknowledged the challenge posed by Ferrari, which showed improved performance with Charles Leclerc finishing second in practice. He stated that McLaren is not in contention for pole position and emphasized the need to focus on achieving a solid result. McLaren's technical director mentioned that the new 'H-Wing' design performed well, but the team is still working to improve energy management and overall lap times.
