Lando Norris Extends McLaren Contract Until 2030
Lando Norris has signed a new contract with McLaren that will keep him with the team until at least the end of 2030. The announcement was made on Saturday, and Norris stated that he did not consider offers from other teams before making his decision.
Norris, who made his Formula 1 debut in 2019, expressed that his loyalty to McLaren stems from strong relationships within the team, particularly with CEO Zak Brown and team principal Andrea Stella. He noted that despite a challenging start to the current season, he remains committed to the team and believes they can overcome difficulties together.
McLaren has seen a turnaround in performance, winning consecutive constructors' championships in 2024 and 2025, and Norris secured the drivers' title last year. He emphasized that his bond with the team has strengthened through their shared journey, and he looks forward to continuing this partnership.
