Lando Norris Extends McLaren Contract Until 2030
Lando Norris has officially extended his contract with McLaren, ensuring his presence with the team until at least the end of 2030, with an option for a longer commitment.
This agreement reinforces a significant partnership, as Norris has been with McLaren since joining their junior program in 2017 and has raced exclusively for them in Formula 1 since 2019. Over his career with McLaren, he has participated in 163 Grands Prix, securing 18 pole positions, 48 podiums, and 13 victories, and he became the team's first Drivers' World Champion since 2008.
Norris announced the contract extension during an event at McLaren's Technology Centre, emphasizing his dedication to the team and their shared goals of continued success. Team principal Andrea Stella praised Norris for his exceptional skills and commitment, while CEO Zak Brown highlighted the importance of supporting talent within the organization. This contract aims to provide stability within McLaren's senior structure as they look to build on their recent successes.
