Lane Johnson, the All-Pro right tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles, announced on Saturday that he believes the 2026 season will likely be his last in the NFL.

Johnson, who turned 36 in May, expressed that as he ages, his priorities are shifting, particularly regarding family. He recently returned to practice after missing four sessions due to a personal matter. The two-time first-team All-Pro had considered retirement following the 2025 season, during which he was sidelined for the last seven games due to a Lisfranc injury.

Throughout his career, Johnson has achieved significant milestones, including two Super Bowl championships and six Pro Bowl selections. He has started 168 regular-season games and 15 playoff games since being drafted fourth overall by the Eagles in 2013.
