Laremy Tunsil Named NFLPA Community MVP for Week 1

The NFL Players Association has recognized Laremy Tunsil, an offensive tackle for the Commanders, as their Community MVP for Week 1 of the 2026 season.

Tunsil received this honor for organizing a back-to-school event that benefited 250 children in the Washington D.C. area. The event included food, music, and provided backpacks filled with school supplies, haircuts, and other essentials to help the children prepare for the new school year.

In recognition of his efforts, the NFLPA will contribute $10,000 to a charity selected by Tunsil. Although he is currently recovering from a triceps injury, Tunsil is also in contention for the Alan Page Award at the season's end.
