Last-Minute Change at UFC Vegas 120 as Raul Rosas Jr.'s Brother Withdraws
The UFC event scheduled for Saturday in Las Vegas has seen a sudden alteration, as Raul Rosas Jr.'s brother, Jessie Rosas, has withdrawn from his debut fight. This change comes just under two days before the event, which follows a successful UFC debut in Serbia last week.
UFC Vegas 120 will feature a main event between Mateusz Gamrot and Quillan Salkilld. Originally, Jessie Rosas was set to face veteran Miles Johns, but he is now replaced by Gianni Vazquez, who is taking the fight on short notice. Vazquez previously lost to Javid Basharat in February after stepping in for another fighter.
The fight between Johns and Vazquez will now take place at featherweight, as Rosas cited a glove scratch as the reason for his withdrawal, which raised concerns about a potential infection. Johns is looking to break a three-fight losing streak in this matchup.
