LeBron James Begins 24th NBA Season with 76ers

LeBron James kicked off his 24th NBA season with the Philadelphia 76ers in New York, marking a new chapter in his career. He scored his first basket for the team with a right-handed layup after receiving a pass from Joel Embiid.

This season opener took place at Madison Square Garden, where the New York Knicks celebrated their championship banner. Despite the focus on the Knicks, fans were eager to see James in action, chanting against him as he approached the free-throw line.

The 76ers showcased their new lineup, featuring James alongside All-Star Jaylen Brown, Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and VJ Edgecombe. Questions remain about how the team will develop chemistry, as all players have previously been primary ball handlers. James acknowledged the need for growth as the team prepares for their home opener against Cleveland.
