Leclerc's Strong Start Fails to Overcome Verstappen at Singapore GP
At the Singapore Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc had a better start than Max Verstappen but was unable to take the lead. Despite starting from the less favorable side of the track, Leclerc quickly positioned his Ferrari alongside Verstappen's Red Bull.
As the race began, Verstappen maneuvered to maintain his lead, forcing Leclerc's front wheels to cross the white line briefly. Leclerc braked earlier, allowing Verstappen to secure the first position. Both drivers acknowledged the challenge of judging the braking point in such a tight situation.
Verstappen later revealed he faced a technical issue at the start, which affected his launch. He won the race by a margin of seven seconds, while Leclerc expressed that he could not match the pace of the leaders, marking his second-best finish of the season.
