Leicester City Listed for Sale by King Power for Over £200 Million
Leicester City is officially for sale, with Thai owners King Power setting a price of over £200 million. The sale includes the men's and women's teams, the King Power Stadium, training facilities, and the sister club OH Leuven.
King Power has engaged Citibank to attract potential buyers, presenting a sales brochure that outlines the investment opportunity. The assets are valued at £224 million, although no specific price has been assigned to the football teams.
Despite recent struggles, including relegation to League One, King Power remains committed to funding the club until a suitable buyer is found. The owners have converted nearly £300 million of debt into equity, leaving the club largely debt-free. The sales pitch highlights Leicester's past successes, including a Premier League title and an FA Cup win, while acknowledging the challenges ahead in finding a new owner.
