Leon Slater Reflects on Becoming TNA World Champion
Leon Slater has expressed his astonishment at winning the TNA World Championship, a title he secured at Bound for Glory by defeating Nic Nemeth, making him the youngest champion in the promotion's history.
In a recent podcast appearance, Slater discussed the surreal nature of his achievement, noting that he is still adjusting to the reality of being champion. He described how he felt as if he was merely carrying Nemeth's belt until he fully embraced his new role.
Slater mentioned that despite the title win, his daily life remains unchanged, with the only significant addition being the championship itself. He is eager to take the title in a new direction and has already identified Trey Miguel as a potential challenger, following Miguel's victory in a ladder match that earned him the No. 1 contender status.
