Leon Slater to Challenge Cedric Alexander at TNA Lockdown with High Stakes
Leon Slater is set to challenge Cedric Alexander for the X-Division Championship at TNA Lockdown, which is scheduled to take place in 10 days. The stakes have been raised significantly, as Slater's historic record in TNA will be erased if he does not win the match.
The confrontation between Slater and Alexander occurred after Slater assisted Ricky Sosa in defeating Brian Myers on a recent episode of TNA Impact. Slater challenged Alexander, who was interfering in the match, and Alexander agreed to the title match on the condition that Slater's record would be at risk.
Slater has had a notable tenure in TNA, having won the X-Division Championship from Moose at Slammiversary 2025. He achieved a remarkable 298-day reign, tying the record for the longest single reign with Austin Aries. However, Alexander ended Slater's reign on May 14 during an episode of Impact, and has since successfully defended the title twice, including in an Ultimate X match at this year's Slammiversary.
