Lewis Hamilton Aims for Victory with Ferrari's Tactical Edge Against Max Verstappen
Lewis Hamilton is set to start from the second row at the Singapore Grand Prix, following a competitive qualifying session at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing secured pole position, narrowly beating Charles Leclerc by 0.054 seconds, while Hamilton finished third, just 0.123 seconds behind the leader.
Hamilton expressed frustration over his performance in Q3, citing a sudden loss of rear grip that affected his final laps. He noted that while the car felt well-tuned in earlier qualifying rounds, track conditions changed, making it difficult to maintain optimal performance. Despite these challenges, Hamilton acknowledged the strategic advantage Ferrari holds with two cars at the front, especially since Verstappen's teammate was unable to set a time due to mechanical issues.
Hamilton is optimistic about collaborating with his teammate to apply pressure on Verstappen during the race. He recognized the impressive pace of the Red Bull team, attributing their recent success to significant aerodynamic improvements.
