Lewis Hamilton Praises Kimi Antonelli Ahead of Potential F1 Title

Lewis Hamilton has expressed admiration for Kimi Antonelli, his successor at Mercedes, as Antonelli nears his first Formula 1 title during the United States Grand Prix in Austin.

Currently, Antonelli holds a 102-point lead over his teammate George Russell, with Hamilton trailing by 111 points. If Antonelli secures a victory this weekend, he could clinch the championship, given the performance of his competitors.

In his debut season, Antonelli has faced challenges but has excelled in 2026, achieving six pole positions and eight race wins out of 17 rounds. Hamilton noted Antonelli's impressive adaptability and performance, stating that he has shown remarkable talent and composure under pressure.
