Liam Delap Transferred to Nottingham Forest for Club-Record £50m from Chelsea
Nottingham Forest has secured the signing of striker Liam Delap from Chelsea in a club-record transfer valued at up to £50 million. Delap, who joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town last summer, had a difficult season, scoring only two goals in 41 appearances.
The deal is reported to be worth at least £45 million, with potential add-ons that could increase the total to £50 million. Chelsea stands to make a profit of approximately £20 million, having acquired Delap for £30 million last year.
Delap has signed a five-year contract with Nottingham Forest, expressing eagerness to contribute to the club's success. His arrival comes as Forest seeks to bolster their attacking options after the departure of Taiwo Awoniyi. The club is also exploring further signings to enhance their squad.
