Liam Delap Transfers to Nottingham Forest for Record £50m from Chelsea
Nottingham Forest has completed the signing of striker Liam Delap from Chelsea in a club-record transfer valued at up to £50 million. Delap, who previously moved to Chelsea from Ipswich Town last summer, scored only two goals in 41 appearances during his time at Stamford Bridge.
The deal is reported to be worth at least £45 million, with the potential for Chelsea to earn a profit of up to £20 million, having acquired Delap for £30 million. He has signed a five-year contract with Nottingham Forest.
Delap's arrival comes as Forest seeks to bolster its attacking options following the sale of Taiwo Awoniyi. The club's manager, Oliver Glasner, aims to replicate his success in developing strikers, having previously transformed players into key figures in the Premier League.
