Liam McMahon Returns to Eltham Football Club After Essendon Exit

Liam McMahon, a former key forward for Essendon, has signed with Eltham in the Northern Football Netball League, marking his return to the club where he began his football career.

After being cut from Essendon's roster at the end of the season, where he scored 12 goals in seven games over two years, the 24-year-old opted not to pursue opportunities with VFL or state league teams.

McMahon, who was drafted by Collingwood in 2020, has played a total of 81 VFL games, scoring 128 goals and also taking on defensive roles. Eltham Panthers announced his signing on social media, expressing excitement about his return and welcoming his family as well.
