Messi opened the scoring for Inter Miami with a direct free kick in the 40th minute, followed by another goal just 12 minutes later after maneuvering past three defenders. His third goal came in the 83rd minute, shortly after assisting Luis Suárez for the team's fourth goal. Messi's final goal was also from a direct free kick, marking him as one of the few players in MLS history to score two direct free kicks in a single match.
This victory represents Inter Miami's largest win margin in club history and the first instance of the team scoring seven goals in a match, approaching the MLS record of eight goals set by LA Galaxy in 1998.
