Lionel Messi Receives EAFC 27 Ratings Boost After 2026 World Cup
Lionel Messi has solidified his status as a top soccer player following impressive performances in the 2026 World Cup, resulting in a notable ratings boost in EA FC 27. In contrast, Cristiano Ronaldo did not make the list of the top 27 rated players.
EA Sports announced the top 27 highest-rated men’s players, with Messi earning an overall rating of 89. He is the only Argentine and the only player outside of Europe's top five leagues to be included in this exclusive ranking. Messi's attributes include 76 pace, 87 shooting, 89 passing, 90 dribbling, 33 defending, and 63 physicality.
Messi's new card reflects a slight decrease in pace but improvements in shooting and passing. This rating marks his second-highest since joining Inter Miami and is the first time he has received an 89-rated base card. Additionally, his primary position has changed to Central Attacking Midfielder, a first for his character in the game. Meanwhile, Ronaldo's ratings have declined since his transfer to Al Nassr, and he has not made the Top 27 for another year.
