Lionel Messi Set to Start for Inter Miami Against NYCFC

Lionel Messi is anticipated to start for Inter Miami in their upcoming match against NYCFC in the 2026 MLS season. Inter Miami is looking to maintain momentum after a decisive 4-0 victory over DC United on October 10.

This match follows a mixed performance for Inter Miami, which included a loss to Columbus and a draw with San Diego FC in previous games. NYCFC, on the other hand, is coming off a 1-2 defeat to Chicago Fire and has not secured a win in their last three matches.

Inter Miami's projected lineup features a 4-3-3 formation with Messi alongside German Berterame and Luis Suarez in the attack. NYCFC is expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, led by central striker Alonso Martinez. Both teams have no reported absences, allowing them to field their preferred starting groups.
