Lions Place TE Anthony Firkser on Injured Reserve

The Detroit Lions have placed tight end Anthony Firkser on injured reserve, marking a quick end to his return with the team.

Firkser signed with the Lions on July 31, but his time on the active roster was cut short when he sustained a fractured fibula, as confirmed by head coach Dan Campbell. Following this injury, the Lions waived tight end Zach Horton, who had been signed earlier, but Horton has since rejoined the team to take Firkser's place.

Firkser had previously played for the Lions in 2023 and 2025 before being released by the Commanders earlier this year.
