Lions Re-sign Tight End Anthony Firkser
The Detroit Lions have announced the signing of tight end Anthony Firkser, who previously played for the team last season.
<p>The Detroit Lions have officially re-signed tight end Anthony Firkser, as announced by the team on Friday morning. Firkser was released by the Washington Commanders earlier this week.</p><p>During his previous tenure with the Lions, Firkser recorded eight receptions for 53 yards over seven games last season. He has also played for the Titans, Falcons, Chiefs, and Jets, accumulating a total of 123 catches for 1,260 yards and five touchdowns across 85 career games.</p><p>In a related move, the Lions waived tight end Zach Horton. The team's tight end roster now includes veterans Sam LaPorta, Brock Wright, and Tyler Conklin, the latter of whom is currently on the physically unable to perform list.</p>
