Lions Release Terrion Arnold Following Felony Charges

The Detroit Lions have terminated the contract of Terrion Arnold, just five days after he was arrested on eight felony charges, including armed robbery and kidnapping, in Florida.

Brad Holmes, the general manager who selected Arnold in the first round of the 2025 draft, commented on the decision, describing the situation as unfortunate and indicating that Arnold made a mistake. Holmes noted that the Lions acted in the best interest of the club based on the information they gathered.

Despite the release, questions remain about the reasons behind the decision, including whether Arnold misled the team about his situation. Currently, Arnold is on paid leave and, if cleared, is expected to join the Seattle Seahawks.
