LIV Golf has officially canceled its Team Championships scheduled for Michigan, concluding the season earlier than anticipated. The decision follows speculation about the event's viability, as several players opted to participate in the British Masters during the same dates.

The final tournament of the season will take place in Indianapolis, where it will also serve as a team competition. LIV Golf's leadership has indicated that this early conclusion is part of a strategic shift to concentrate resources on future developments for the league.

CEO Scott O'Neil mentioned that the league is transitioning towards a new model, emphasizing player ownership and a sustainable business approach. The Indianapolis event will mark both the end of the current format and the beginning of a new chapter for LIV Golf. Additionally, the league has announced that ticket holders for the canceled Michigan event will receive refunds.
