LIV Golf Secures New Investment for Continued Operations Beyond 2026
LIV Golf has confirmed that it will continue its operations beyond 2026 after securing new investment. Chief executive Scott O’Neil announced this development ahead of an event at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
O’Neil indicated that an agreement has been reached with a lead investor, although details regarding the investor's identity and the funding amount remain undisclosed. The league is also experiencing interest from over a dozen potential minority investors, which aims to establish a multi-partner model for long-term growth.
The league is working to finalize the investment deal in the coming weeks, with a completion target set for September. LIV Golf players are expected to become majority equity holders, which O’Neil believes will provide a solid foundation for the league's future. Additionally, plans for a revamped 2027 schedule have been outlined, featuring ten tournaments across various international locations.
