Liverpool Injury Update Ahead of Gameweek 4
Cody Gakpo's availability for Liverpool's match against Fulham is in doubt due to an adductor injury, as confirmed by manager Andoni Iraola during a press conference. Gakpo, who was the most popular player in Gameweek 4 until Thursday, missed the team's recent UEFA Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid.
In addition to Gakpo, winger Bradley Barcola, who left the previous match with cramp, is expected to be fit for the upcoming game. Iraola reiterated that both Barcola and Milos Kerkez are not facing serious injuries. Meanwhile, several players, including Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, Joe Gomez, and Federico Chiesa, remain sidelined due to various injuries.
Ekitike has been seen training with the ball, but his return is not anticipated until January. Iraola noted that while there is a possibility for Ekitike to participate in the last two Champions League group stage matches, it is still too early to confirm his comeback.
