Local Residents Express Frustration Over Creamfields Festival Disruptions

The Creamfields festival in Daresbury, Cheshire, is set to welcome up to 80,000 attendees over the August bank holiday weekend, featuring performances from artists like Swedish House Mafia and Underworld.

Local residents have reported significant disruptions, including extensive traffic jams and unruly behavior from festival-goers. Ian Brittain, a 79-year-old resident, described feeling trapped in his home due to the chaos, while others noted issues such as trespassing and noise. Some residents have received cash compensation and security measures from festival organizers.

Despite the challenges, younger locals expressed excitement about the festival atmosphere, with some appreciating the free tickets offered to residents. The event, now in its 20th year, will showcase over 250 artists, including Calvin Harris and Becky Hill.
